Gunther,
As far as I can tell the 5500 is plenty accurate enough for the dish.  My
mounting pole wiggles some, and I can at times hear that in signal, but the
rotor is not a problem.
Take a look at my web site to see how I mounted a 2x3 foot "PrimeStar" dish
above a 5500 rotor.
