This is also true in Ohio. I've obtained a unit (PacComm) given to me by
a computer store (They
got it in a "lot" sale) where the Columbus Fire Department upgraded their
MDT's to faster ones.
They still frequently use them on fire band frequencies today. - Just a
passing thought.
