[amsat-bb] W0KIE Network off the air

Because of a complaint that Oxygen received (that is who was providing 
W0KIE with transponder time) and not related to the Houston AMSAT Net, 
Oxygen chose to terminate the W0KIE uplinking on C-Band. 

The Houston AMSAT Net has been carried on the W0KIE network for many, 
many years. If you would like to help try and get Oxygen to reinstate the 
W0KIE satellite feed, a letter to Oxygen would be helpful. Otherwise, our C-
Band feed will be gone forever. Here is the contact at Oxygen that you need 
to write. As email is abusive in mass, we suggest you do not email Oxygen 
but send a snail mail letter. This message appears on the W0KIE website....

There is only one person who can save W0KIE now.  That person is Barbara 
Shulman.  Because of a couple of letters she received she has the 
impression that W0KIE "is more  trouble than it's worth."  Because of this 
W0KIE will be no longer be allowed to uplink as of the end of August.  When 
that happens W0KIE will not return. The end of an era.

It is now up to you, loyal W0KIE listeners, to tell Ms. Shulman what you like 
best about W0KIE before it's too late.  And too late is approaching very fast.
