Contact is my favourite movie ever - some will say sad I know, but
thats me (Heck, Can I go next time please ? I can call CQ :>).
I have read the book, but I try to keep the two seperate. They differ
a little too much for my liking, although it does fill in the blanks.
(This is not to say the Book isn't good - it's great, I just find it
hard to get the two to co-operate together, without totally trashing
one or the other)

I found the book much better than the movie - I actually read the book
well in advance - The movie never made it to the movie theatres here,
but eventually tuned up on TV and DVD.
There is a lot in the movie that I think wouldn't make sense if you hadnt
read the book - I won't spoil here, but if youve read the book as well as
seen the film, youll know what I mean.
I was under the impression that the 'October' was as in 4th October 1957,
A happy co-incidence ?
Anyway, thats enough Off Topic from me.
