The "real" LEILA notches the offending signal when the siren tone is generated.  It think it may notch for a couple seconds after the siren tone (I'm not sure).

We should be able to determine whether a LEILA siren tone is authentic or not by listening for the notched uplink signal.  When you hear the siren tone, try whistling or speaking loudly into your microphone to see if your signal is notched or not.

Perhaps the LEILA designers can offer more specific advice on how to distinguish between the real LEILA and a recorded LEILA siren tone.
