Most FT-847 owners don't want to permanently disable 144 MHz transceive
capability.
Wayne the modification cuts the coax from the 144 T/R circuit to the
receiver preamp. So you have two connectors in addition to the normal 144
Antenna port. It is easy to run the receiver input into a manual coax
switch, to transfer between receive-only inputs such as a preamp or
microwave converter or back the T/R antenna.
I plan on this mod for both 144 and 432.
