Adapting convention rotors for Fodtrack?

Anyone have any luck mounting a pot into/onto a conventional
rotor for Fodtrack control? The motor voltage keying seems simple
enough, but I'm a little green on the calibration process for the
position pots. Would a single-turn 500ohm linear pot work? Will
the calibration compensate for other values of resistance?
Thanks de Rich
