RE: Pin point the UO-14 jammer.

Many years ago (something on the order of 12 plus), Courtney Duncan, N5BF,
shared a copy of some software an associate of his was working on called
SATFOXHUNT. SATFOXHUNT was exactly as the name implies--fox hunting the
location of an unknown station using a known location of the satellite at an
instance in time along with a measurement of the doppler shift of the fox.

The software, while a challenge to use, produced some amazing results. I
was able to locate stations within 50 KM or so of their known location.
Given today's computer processing power along with more advanced station
automation a program similar to this should be able to nail things down much
quicker with better accuracy.

Like a lot of things at the time, I didn't have the time to experiment more
with the software or work with Courtney on refinements. Sigh....so much to
do and so little time.

Perhaps if Courtney is following the thread he can amplify a bit more on
things.

We can pin point the jammer on uo-14 using instant track. What the idiot
doesn't doesn't realize is that the longer he transmits during a pass the
more we can locate him. If he transmits horizon to horizon, his location
should fall on a thin line. Monitoring a number of passes can make the line
or football shape smaller.
