I like the set of frequencies proposed. 2400-2404 MHz is the best place for
downlinks from HEO satellites and plans for a continuing series of
satellites will encourage users and manufacturers to invest in equipment.
The 2-meter beacon was surprising at first, but it makes sense to put
narrowband downlinks intended for use with omnidirectional antennas on a
lower frequency.
I am looking forward to hearing more about the TDMA transponder. I hope that
it will support high user data rates that are not possible on HF. A mode
similar to SSTV but 10 times faster might attract more users to satellites
and digital communication.
