Um...we call that a website. But if you refer newbies to it you're
called a curmudgeon. :-) 

Seriously, though, one of the hardest things for a newbie is knowing
exactly how to phrase their question in the jargon of a corpus of
knowlege they haven't acquired yet. That's one reason most "help" files
are so unhelpful.
