RE: re: AMSAT has a SECRET: why not 10m instead of V band




My recollection of the old Mode A of 25 years ago says the 10m downlink
stinks. We could not wait to move into mode J. 10m is loaded with trop, stat
skips, especially when trying to come down through it to a specific ground
location. Let's hear it for the Ghz.

Yes but then the VHF-only operators would *not* be allowed to use it by law;
and we need the recruits. Otherwise it would be a good idea.
