Re: Radio Shack HT



I can report that this is a neat little radio. I have had mine since they
were 89.99 and have used it a fair amount. The AAs last a long time, the
receiver is fairly good, and the radio is small, small, small. My only
regret is the SMA (think thats it) connector on the antenna, which is a
little difficult to find locally. With the 5 Kc tuning and even the stock
antenna I have heard UO-14 above 60 degrees.

My initial impulse was to buy it as a balloon or intra-neighborhood link
radio.
