Hi Guys,
If you really want a powerful frequency multiplier I would try a Step
Recovery Diode. These are very efficient multipliers and will produce
harmonics way past 5 GHz. The little diode that I like is a Macom diode that
costs 54 cents. The part number is MA44769-287 It is available in small
quantities from AVNET. The link is here:

you just place this diode shunt to ground with a 51 ohm resistor in parallel
and drive it with a sine wave up to a watt. It works very very well.
