RE: AO-40

The best and most accurate source of ALON/ALAT values is in the AO40
telemetry archives, currently located at
http://www.amsat.org/amsat/ftp/telemetry/ao40/2001/. Orbit 259 saw a new set
of pictures taken by the IHU-2 integrated camera, and a resultant
high-accuracy ALON/ALAT calculation. They aren't in the archive as of 1535z
on 5/24/2001, but should be there in the next few hours. Examine all of the
analysis done on the images, and you will find the Control Team's latest and
best calculation. You will find a ZIP file within the larger main ZIP file;
the images and the ALON/ALAT calculations are in there.

I saw the preliminary Orbit 259 archive at about 1200z, and the values were
approximately -2/-11. (as I recall, not really sure) The MB was still
reporting 0/-10 at that time.

    Could someone advise where to get current AO-40 ALON/ALAT info from a
source other than the Beacon? Thanks, Farrell, W8ZCF.
