Hi Art:

I have the same problem, and am also using Excel 7.0.  The problem is that
the spreadsheet was created with a later version of Excel, probably the
Office '97 version of Excel.

If the person who generated the spreadsheet will choose "save as" on the
file menu, and then save it as an Excel 5.0, 6.0, or 7.0 version
spreadsheet, it can be opened by almost any version of Excel.
