RE: Tracking interface for G-5500
Bill
Adding to Joe's comments...
I've run FODTrack on a G-5500 for nearly a year now.
It took me one evening to build and it's worked flawlessly. In fact it's
still operational in the shack mounted in a small cardboard box - yet
another unfinished but working project.
One thing to note on a G-5500 is that its azimuth runs from 0 to 450
degrees, but the FODTrack interface thinks it's 0 to 360. No matter: simply
replace the 39k resistor on U2D to 31k, or alternatively put a 150k in
parallel with the existing 39k.

Bill,
The FODTrack system supports the 5500. It is a cookbook home brew
project. The software and plans can be downloaded from the amsat web site.
I'm using it with the 5400 (but it supports both).
