Fame comes to LU9HBG

Mario Acuna (LU9HBG) at NASA/Goddard has for many years been the supplier of
the high accuracy magnetometers that have flown on the UoSATs and on many
professional earth-orbiting satellites and deep-space probes. Mario was also
a big source of help during the development of P3A, AO-10 and AO-13.
Recently Mario as been most involved in studying the crustal magnetic field
of Mars with data from the MGO spacecraft.

This year Mario has been elected as a Fellow of the American Geophysical
Union and the award will be bestowed on him at the AGU Spring Meeting in
Boston on May 31st. This honor is reserved for the top 1% of the scientists
working in Geophysics and Space Physics.
