Receiving s-band beacon AO-40 ???

Hello all,

I was trying to receive the beacon of AO-40 on 2401.173, 2401.323 and
2401.573 MHz.
As seen in the cluster the beacon is transmitting on 2401.323MHz, so I
tried to receive
arround this frequency. Orbit was 212, arround MA 96, 16-04-2001, 05:50UTC.
My equipment is:

SSB electronics UEK3000 downconverter to 70cm.
antenna 60cm dish with 2.5 turns helical feeder. (F/D 0.4)
Do i need a preamp or not??

Many efforts on receiving AO-40 resultet in NIL copy.... is AO-40 not
active any more or
do they put him in wintersleep arround a certain MA?

Any answer on my questions would be very welcome.
Best 73, cu on sat!
