Try the acrylic glue called "CA" or "Hot Stuff."  Available at hobby shops,  
it's like a super glue except more aggressive at it's job.  You might like 
it.  I find it more effective than Super Glue with a better compatibility to 
various materials.  A  product called "Kicker" is an accelerator to it's 
hardening and can help get the job done where these glues at times may need a 
little motivating.
