Re: Instant Tune

Hi Guy,
I do not have a set of accurate frequencies for AO-40.
I suspect that most of the downconverters are not very
accurate anyway unless you temperature compensate them,
the rx freqs could be off by +/-10KHz or more. I don't
have my 2880 running yet and haven't checked it.

The config file entry for mode U/S should look something
like the following:

;***** Satellite AO-40 P3D *************************************
satellite AO-40 U/S ; mode U/S, UHF up, S down
transponder 2836.000 invert ; = 435 up + 2401 down, I wish I knew the
real up link!
beacon 2401.323 cw ; if you need upper side band instead, use
"usb"
rxconverter 2278.000 ; = converter local osc

;you can also run this satellite in rx only mode by adding
rx ft847 1 ; note COM 1.
This will only tune the RX so you don't need the "transponder" line

OK?
Tony
