I read a post on the Web Index that I haven't got yet (about 5 hour lag
usually :( )
Anyway, I wanted to give some feedback.
I use a 52 element loop yagi on 2.4 with an SSB UEK3000SAT downconverter
(about 30db of gain and .7nf). I'm also using a 432 IF if it matters.
Last night, the beacon was very loud at AOS about an S5, then it actually
went up to about S7. I copied it out to about 15000 km before squint got
me.
I was playing with a telemetry setup (chasing my tail as I didn't have the
cable connected :( ), so I didn't do as good as I usually do on these types
of passes, but I did get 15/27 blocks of CRCC'd data. (last time, when I
didn't mess around, I was 50/70).
There was a bunch of QSB, but no more that there has been lately. We'll see
what the front end of the pass looks like today and tomorrow. The 240 and
up MA's :)
Alan
