Re: ISS comms for student project

Victor,

I have a school project here in the states where students are trained to use
a tracking program to listen for passing satellites as well as ISS.
        UO-14 on 435.070mhz FM
        AO-27 on 436.792mhz FM
ISS on 143.625mhz FM - This is the russian Tech support (Tsup)comm
channel which they are still using. The main US communications on the TDRS
satellite link is not easily available to civilians. When school contacts
are in progress the station will be on 145.800mhz fm. School contact
annoucements are posted on the amsat-sarex reflector.

Don't forget to stay tuned for the most exciting mode for students later
this year when the slow scan television will be on board. SSTV format will
be Robot36 and if we can get them to transmit it during the week it will
really open up worldwide student involvement with the space station program.

They may even discover ham radio along the way.

Good luck let us know how you make out
