I have 4 Murata PTH BM500N Crystal heaters. They appear to be the correct
size to clip over the Xtal as used in the drake downconvertor. I cannot
find any details on the Murata site. Anyone know what voltage drive they
use, what temperature they are, and whether a standard Xtal will still pull
onto the correct frequency at an elevated temperature. Will they produce a
worthwhile improvement in temperature stability?
They were originally used in a MAXXON UHF mobile radio.
Just found the manual for the MAXXON radio, they are 12V, but no mention of
temperature
