Dishes

They used to also carry larger offset fed dishes for a little extra.
Like a 30" dish for $57.89 (33-4925) or a 36" for $60.59 (33-4930).

Fairly cheap for the extra gain.

I suspect the 30" dish would be better, as the 18" dish will work,
but it's going to be kinda hard to keep from overilluminating it.
I'm going to try one as one of my dishes as I've acquired two extra
DSS dishes myself.

An other source for those in the Midwestern US is www.dhsatellite.com
in Prarie DuChein, WI. (Where the Down East Microwave dishes come from). As
of a few years ago, I bought a couple of small dishes from them with cash,
no problem. Their dishes are not offset, but are VERY good quality.

Dishes are fairly easy to get. Also look for unused TVRO dishes, either
from "Joe Homeowner" or from satellite TV dealers, some are
offering larger dishes to hams for scrap value.
