[amsat-bb] TranSystem MMDS converter for AO-40

Hi All,

Has anyone analyzed the TranSystem AIDC-3733  AFTER  replacement of the IF
crystal with one suitable for 145 or 435 MHz?  ...what were the results?
Also, what is the best choice of crystal manufacturer / supplier and
perhaps even part # for this specific application?

Lastly, although it may be too early to tell...  in terms of the likely
band up/down combinations of AO-40... which band would be the better choice
of IF, 145 or 435  (ie. if the 2M uplink is paired with the s-band
downlink, the 145 IF is the wrong choice ;) )?
