[amsat-bb] Another Satellite PSK-31 possibility.

While still pondering the addition of a simple 10m PSK-31 experiment to
our existing (99%) finished satellite, I hit on one other possibilty.  I
was in Radio Shack today and they are selling these little $15 talking
picture frames.  The audio sounded quite high quality.  10 seconds. 

I bought one and held it near my 80m speaker and then played it back
trhough my sound card mic.  Perfect copy.

So I could build a 10 sec parrot Xponder on 10m that might be able to be
left on all the time.  It looks like doing PSK-31 at 10 second turnarounds
could be quite a pain, but certainly a challenge.  At least you would get
to hear yourself and beable to quickly and frequently fix your doppler.
And since you are hearing yourself, you can find the other guy.

I havent actually transmitted PSK-31 yet, so maybe you routine ops could
comment on what you could do in 10 seconds...  No, not a normal rag chew,
but if you changed your operating habits to a 10 sec window, could you do
anything useful?

One good thing about this PSK-31 parrot compared to the SO-35 FM
VOICE parrot is that MANY folks can use it each time.  Not just one.
Just thinking aloud again...
