Many thanks to ALL that sent very valuable info. WOW, what expertise!
*** We will go find a crimper. ***
This is the SEPARATION connector. It carries the SEP current to our cable
release mechanism and the SEP switches indications. As such, it is flight
critical. So the path of least resistance is to do it NASA's way. I am
sure we can go over to Goddard or NRL and get it crimped.
For anyone interested, the connetor is from BJG Electronics Inc (supplier)
Male Part Number D38999/26FC98PC (takes male pins)
Female connector D38999/24FC98SC (takes female pins)
Male Pins are M39029/58-363 (color bands are orange blue orange)
Female pins are M39029/56-351 (color bands are org grn brn)
Thanks to everyone!
de WB4APR, Bob
