I agree that the Yaesu CAT interface is not that great but memory programming
can be done via PC on certain models. Most notably is the one a lot of us SAT
users have, the FT-847. Have you ever seen Edit847 for the FT-847?? It is a
French program but easy to figure out. It allows manipulation of memories.
Probably its best feature is the ability to download a complete "snapshot" of
your FT-847 and save to disk. Someday when you hit the wrong button, (not a
matter of if, but when :-} ) you can re-upload all your menu settings and
memories from disk.
