Re: Ionosheric heating signal 3.39 MHz

Does anyone know the purpose of the ionospheric heating signal on 3390
KHz? It is very broad, data burst every 20 seconds or so. If indeed it
is located near Fairbanks, Alaska it truly is remarkable as it continues
to be 40 db over nine in Central California at 10:30 AM Pacific Time!
Usually the experimenters ask the hams for reports, but I've not seen
any mention this time around. Supposedly this is a 300 megawatt signal!
