[amsat-bb] FT-100 for satellite

I've been considering trading some gear in for a FT100 (not a D) or an 817.
This would be my 435 receiver and travel radio when needed. I've seen
reports on the 817 but missed the FT100 reports. Would anyone that has a
FT100 care to comment to me privately on how it works, on 435 particularly?
