Subject: [amsat-bb] ICOM UX-14 units?

Hello everyone and thank you for reading this post,

It's a year or so since I started a thread on this subject. It finally
tapered off with no results. Perhaps with the renewal of activity on the
BB
with the advent of AO-40 it may be productive to ask again.

The early model ICOM IC-271/471/1271 series radios had a parallel
computer
interface and in order to talk to serial devices they needed a "serial
to
parallel converter". This was provided by the UX-14 accessory units
which
(sadly) now seem to be unobtainable.

Does anyone know of a source of these units as there are still a lot of
people using the 271/471 series radios.

Thanks, Bill...vk3jt
