It could be an interesting poject....

You would need to write a 'socket server' in your favorite programming
language
e.g C, C++, Java or whatever that would run on a PC. (It could even be a
http server
running a servlet / asp maybe) This would interface with one of the well
known DDEs /
libraries e.g. FodTrack / KCT and would accept requests / queries from
connected clients.

It's not a small task but I guess there's someone out there who's in the
throws of
doing it...
