...had a spinning-chair-with-dumbbells demonstration of the conservation of
angular momentum. The lawyers eventually did *that* one in. :-)
It's just that when I hear "leak" I picture fluids moving *away* from the spin
axis.

By the way, that museum was also the location of the ham station that lured me
into the hobby:
