Re: RS-12 Mode A - Wow!

Here is what I am running for RS-12:

TX/RX: FT-847

Downlink: 3 element Tri-Bander, AZ manual rotor, 20 ft high, FT-847 internal
pre-amp only

Uplink: 8 element crossed yagi (4x4 elements), fixed RHCP, AZ and EL manual
rotors, <25 ft of coax, (K5OE design, see below)

Power:  50 watts max, but work RS12 generally with minimum power (<5 watts)

The 2m meter uplink antenna is a design by Jerry, K5OE.  The antenna is
working very good for me on RS12 as well as the other birds I work.  Here is

I get very little fading on RS12.   That does not seem to be a problem.
With the above setup I can work RS12 for AOS to LOS, no problem.  No secrets
on this end.
