They could probably get closer but maybe not much. A hardware watchdog has
to use CR time constants. 1. these change according to temperature, and
2. accuracy of a couple of minutes in a time constant of three days is 
next to impossible.

It depends on the design of the watchdog; "saturday afternoon" could even 
be the opening of a window several days long so don't panic too much if 
nothing happens today.
