He has a good wife.  Give her time.  She will see the light.

My wife and I met in 1979 and she was so taken by ham radio, that she
obtained her license on her own before we were married.  I was impressed, as
she is a linguist and not technical at all.  Since then, I am allowed to do
anything and buy anything regarding ham radio.  Great!

However, the decline set in.

I went to Paris and Switzerland in 1991 to study for a year.  My wife and
son came too and she allowed NO ham radio.  It was such a miserable year
that I almost bought equipment over there.

Lately, she even refers to some as "those damn hams".

Oh well.  At least I can still buy what I like and and have wires all over
the place.  And she still operates 2m from her car.

I guess I am lucky.  I have a very good wife too.
