Re: AMSAT OSCAR 40 Estimated Keplerian Element Set #5



Hi Ken,

what a confusion! The object which you have defined with the keps below
(you call it  "AO-40 / OSCAR 40"  and  "#26609 / 00072C") is identical
with  "STRV 1C  ,  #26610 / 00072C" from NORAD in OIG Home page,
last keps from epoch 00337.02909023.

Both keps are nearly identical, they give the same results with STSPLUS,
NovaWin etc.

What happens? Who is the big boss, who defines the name and number
of this UFO?

Anyway, that object is our dear AO-40 or P3D.
AOS  and  LOS  coincide exactly with the reality here in Europe,
let's forget all the other keps or objects.

But there should be only  *one*  Catalog Number...
