Re: Kenwood TS-2000

Mark

Yes yes yes!!

I'm setting up my station now and I hope that by Monday I'll be operating.

Two problems outside the US:

o Unmetered 'always on' internet is only just becoming available - I only
got it a couple of weeks ago. And it costs - USD60 per month. You need that
for external access to your TCP server.

o In Europe AO-40 has been in the sky only whilst most of us are at work.
I've been getting about half an hour to an hour if I'm lucky when I get
home.

Last weekend I set up my station so I can remotely control the whole thing
except TX (rotator, 2 PCs, Rig, Modem, station web camera) from a remote
internet connection. That took me all weekend to do! So I can now control
the whole thing from work. But there's one big problem... I do actually have
to work when I'm at work! Darn it!

I have RX'd AO-40 stuff during the past week, but it's been very hit and
miss. I'm hoping to improve things over the weekend.

Hopefully that'll be sorted by Monday.
