Re: AO-40: 400N burn before arcjet?



The object is to minimize the expenditure of fuel
doing the required maneuvers.  It is likely that it
is much more efficient to do the plane change
before the changes in perigee/apogee and to
do big burns.  It is an optimization problem.
We can change the momentum of the space
craft in two different ways and it is likely that a
more optimal use of the finite resources has
been discovered.
