Probably not.   Remember that we are almost certainly on the omni, and at
44000 km, not
much will be heard except by first rate stations.
Since P3D transmits biphase, what I would have
expected to see, in the presence of no data,
was a PAIR of lines  from the 400 baud square
wave modulating the carrier,  going to the bimodal
"mounds" when a frame comes along.

This is a SWAG on my part.
