Following on from Gary's original question, if you have time to kill before
the launch, have a look at the AMSAT dl page:

and, in particular, the picture on the bottom row entitled "a last
look....".

I am sure I can see what look like two "plumb lines" ie weights hanging down
on lengths of pink "string"

I was using something similar last weekend to make sure the hinges on a
bathroom door were correctly vertically in line.

So gravity does have a use even when launching rockets with satellites
attached!
