Not to mention that it runs very well on 486 and older Pentium
hardware.  It also supports  the Microchannel (MCA) bus by default, and
those old IBM PS/2 servers that will run forever and are RFI-tight can
be had for pennies on the pound.  I have two sitting right next to the
desk running APRS stuff under Debian 2.2 right now.
