Re: Temporary QTH

Thanks to all in the Toronto area for their kind and welcoming reception
last weekend!

Had a great time, sorry I couldn't make the sats as much as I'd have liked.
My big attempt for transatlantin was early Sunday morning on FO-29, only to
find by the time I'd got out into an open area it was in digitalker mode.

Still, got a number of comments on Monday lunchtime from passers by in a
parking lot by the Toronto City airport when working AO-27 and UO-14 on a
very badly prepared setup.

Even had my first 1.2GHz QSO (it's a bit quiet over here in Central London
for that).

The FM bird downlink satgate in Toronto is just awesome! Maybe we should get
something like that in Blighty if we can cut through the paperwork.
Certainly promotes activity.
