I read this problem last night, and thought about a problem I had when I
first got into the satellites. I own an IC-821H and when I first bought it,
everytime I tried to transmit in mode J, I would get desense in my 70cm
side. Turns out, in my haste to get my station on the air, I didn't ground
my radio. Grounding my radio solved the problem.
