Re: Icom R-3 & Mode L uplink linears

Yes.

I also see it'll only decode C3F (VSB) TV, not F3F as we tend to use on 23cm
and above in the UK for ATV. Another reason to keep my credit card safe.

A bit off topic I know, but is C3F or F3F used in the US and Oz for ATV on
23cm and above?

ATV is a new thing I'm playing with, so I'm sorry for the bandwidth. We have
a guy in the UK selling ready built 23cm & 13cm synthesized ATV FM 50mW
transmitters and receivers for USD70-80 a piece (PAL only I think)

I also built a 23cm 2W linear (USD110) and a 23cm 20W linear this week
(USD130) and they worked a treat first time, an evening's work each
[www.ghengineering.co.uk]. The linears will of course be really handy for
P3D. There's a whopping 80W kit at USD500 for reheating your pizza whilst
you wait for an opportunity to work your mode L uplink.
