Hi Robert,
I wonder which results you will get....
But sorry,the FT847 is the only one radio I know
what is for high performance use on VHF/UHF,never  get a better one before
but for shortwave he is very bad...
I`m not sure that you could compare the Ten-Tec OMNI VI plus with the K2.
The K2 is a single conversion,analogue DAFC-PLL
stabilized transceiver and his receiver has a very high
sensitivity and extrem low-noise-configurated receiver.
