The standard AM filter is 9 KHz (-6 dB points). This is listed on page 3.
The AM-N (built in by pressing the "N" button) is 2.2 KHz (-6 dB) points.
This is also addressed on page 3 and on page 39 under "Narrow IF Filters."
No need for extra filtering.
