I agree. I can't imagine Kenwood would even consider releasing a rig with a
great big SAT button like that and no transponder ability. In the Dayton
pics I've seen it's got USB on the sub band (like
http://www.xs4all.nl/~marcusnl/Kenwood%202000/Mvc-007f.jpg) and some blue
button insignias by the big blue SAT button which would probably only be
used for transponder operation.

Just my 2c worth.
