Re: D7E(G) and KISS mode

Hi Jeff

I've been following the thread with interest as I was going to import a
D7A(G) because I _thought_ it'd allow me to set up a really small digital
satellite station. However, there's not much point if I can't use it in KISS
mode.

I spoke with Kenwood in the UK about 2 months ago who are aware of the G
modification, but they said that there weren't going to be any D7E(G)
models.

The D7E with V2 of the TNC software does allow KISS, but it won't allow the
TNC to TX on one band and RX on the other required for satellite contacts.
It will allow cross band in analog mode though.
