Re: Help finding software

Hello all,

I just wanted to thank all those that provided help and opinions on this
subject, it was a great help. Here’s what I have learned (among other
things)

First of all, the sig is extremely helpful and friendly. Thanks folks!
Second, there is a serious need for a good *all around* logging program that
will handle hf contesting along with vhf/uhf and satellite contesting.
Seems to be either one or the other… any of you software developers
listening?

I settled on VHF-DX. It’s a nice program and does exactly what I need it to
do right now. When I get my HF station put together alongside my satellite
station, I’ll probably be shopping for logging software again.

As for tracking programs, I settled on Nova for Windows. To be honest, I
really only looked hard at it and Winorbit. Nova won out pretty handily for
me, and one of the biggest positive points for Nova was the pass prediction
reports. It’s great to print something out to take mobile with you.

Thanks again for all your help!

Samuel, W7YYY
